Accessibility Focus ️

Accessibility heavily influences my choices—I use a screen reader full-time (#ScreenReader), so I prioritize services usable without sight (#InclusiveDesign, #DigitalAccessibility). Always open to discussing accessibility experiences or recommendations!

I've also experimented with:

Ollama (#Ollama): Not enough RAM on my Pi.
Habit trackers like Beaver Habit Tracker (#HabitTracking): Accessibility issues made it unusable for me.

I don't really have a media collection, so no Plex or Jellyfin here (#MediaServer)—but I'm always open to suggestions! I've gotten a bit addicted to exploring new self-hosted services!

(After the usual time passed smashing the head on the keyboard) I just figured out that firewall-cmd --add-masquerade works only for IPv4
To masquerade also IPv6 you have to use a rich rule.

I just reminded myself of why I deeply hate doing network stuff. Everything about it is just fucking annoying.

All I want is to create a killswitch for my #VPN. After two hours I'm questioning everything I know, because it seems like #firewalld simply refuses to do what I want.

Assigned a zone to my ethernet connection, created a rich rule dropping all but the VPN-interfaces source IP, performed a reload and not a thing seems to be blocked. Do I need to completely restart or what?

#nftables 1.1.0 und #firewalld <=2.2.0 scheinen aktuell inkompatibel zu sein. Das betrifft wenigstens Debian unstable, vielleicht testing, und Arch Linux.

Sieht mir eher nach einem nftables-Problem aus, was auch andere Anwendungen als firewalld betreffen könnte.

Einen Bug-Report bei nftables gibt es nicht, aber sich erst einmal per Mailanfrage bei dem Netfilter-Bugzilla registrieren zu müssen, hilft wohl auch nicht. Projekte ohne GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket/…, bei denen man einfach Code und Issues browsen und referenzieren kann, wirken heute oft etwas aus der Zeit gefallen.
