We spontaneously decided to hop off the West Highland Line train at #FortWilliam for a walk, a picnic lunch, and a pint before continuing on to Mallaig. Good call!

Visited #FortWilliam in #Scotland yesterday and found this abandoned boat on the shore of Loch Linnhe.
Apparently it is called "the Old Boat of Caol".

Inverlochy Castle near Fort William. Built from around 1280 it was overtaken by history not once, but twice: first by a Cromwellian citadel built in 1654 and then by a Scots baronial style Inverlochy Castle built not far away in 1863.
