Mum and Dad used to #hire #punts on the #Thames at #Henley and #Wey at #Guildford and #Godalming and take we three children on picnics during the 1950s, so we were used to day trips on small open #boats, but the #Llangollen trip was the first time we'd been near a #canal or stayed overnight on a #boat
Taking place shortly before my 14th birthday did make it a pretty formative event.

Ours have in #Godalming #Waverley and it’s brilliant. We have a choice between #Conservative and not Conservative (Green, Lib Dem and Labour). It also means we no longer have a Tory Council.

This is certainly a problem in #Godalming #Surrey. I do voluntary conservation work in such places and we have to be careful what we sit on when we sit down for lunch and have to hold onto our sandwiches when packs of #dogs pass through. We can also see the #environmental damage done by unleashed dogs.
