Mir blutet das Herz. Stoffmassaker schlimmster Art. 1,5 " große Hexies werden das dann. Wofür weiss ich noch gar nicht. Wird später im Nähkurs gebraucht.

I love #languagelearning. I studied #German and #Spanish as a kid, took #Japanese in uni, and I'm currently studying #ASL #Cree #Tokipona #Spanish and #Chinese. I also dabble in #French and #Latin sometimes and I'm learning #Greggshorthand to write faster. Cree is my favourite language and Spanish is my second.

I've been cursed since childhood with that lovely trifecta of #heds #pots and #mcas. Healing slowly but surely.

Hope I get to meet even more cool people the algorithms would normally drown out on other social media sites. I love it here!

1階ロビー。「福岡市民のことば」が市民会館の中にもあったなんて知らなかった。知ったばかりなのにもうじき閉館解体。
文字の縁がドットのガタつきっぽいなと思ってよく見ると刺繍。周りの飾りも織物。ああ松居って博多織の会社なのか。

I found this gorgeous beaded appliqué in one of the trimming stores in the #losangeles #fabric district and raised my self-imposed limit of $5 per item to $7. Here it is in its first two iterations. They look great, but the rough surface restricts them to fruit bowl or ritual use.

An intricate beaded starbust mandala pattern in blacks and browns

The beaded appliqué was rolled into a shallow porcelain bowl and glazed with Blue Yonder x 3

Here is the same beaded patrolled into light stoneware. The whole shallow bowl was dipped in Olive. the highlights were wiped then painted with Lynette’s Opal, which turned a rich opalescent color

Small #bookbinding update! I've been dormant since little one came in October but I'm getting ready to dust my tools off soon.

I recently purchased a new laptop case from a great #Canadian #Etsy shop that specializes in making crafts from old kimonos. The artist offers packs of scrap pieces perfect for A5 journals. Really excited to get started!
