@Lee6 An eatable stadium cake?
@Lee6 it is a strange (and tough) point to get to for sure. My dad is approaching that point in life and I see it a lot at work.
@Lee6 Haha! I wore the exact same shirt today! My mom‘s 81 now, her hearing is really bad, but – so far – she’s still there mentally. Hope she can keep it up for a while longer. Fingers crossed for your dad (and you)!
@Lee6
Best wishes to you and your dad for the change in responsibilities and relationship.
You've got plenty of stories for him.
Enjoy your time together - give him my best.
@sticklandtim
Thanks - very kind - I sure do hav plenty of stories - but many that r not for sharing wif parents lol
@Lee6
Haha, I should have said 'running stories' !
@Lee6 I know the feeling well unfortunately, my dad is 89, deaf as a post, unsteady in his feet and increasingly frail
@NigelNotNeil
My dad exactly same and house bound now - 90 in August
@Lee6 Mine is 90 in November, doesn’t look much fun getting old
@NigelNotNeil
No it doesn’t but let’s hope both our dads make it to 90
@Lee6
This is probably the path many of us have to take with our parents (and perhaps later, our children with us). It's slowly becoming that way to my in-laws as well. It's good when all this can happen with dignity and respect.
I have no doubt about the heavy legs after your last ride.
@Mr_GHARice
Dignity and respect hav a gud week mate
