Self-hosted planner. Set up projects, create tasks, kanban, etc. Assign tasks to other people (for team use), set deadlines and repeating tasks, make child and parent tasks. Very nice, slick application.

In theory, I have almost everything I wanted to have self-hosted on my small server: - #nextcloud for files, calendar, storing notes from #joplin - #immich for photos - #vikunja for my ToDo - #pihole - #paperless for digital copies of important documents And these are my must-have.
I have few more things that are nice (like Jellyfin and few more) but it's for future.
However, I'm too scared to ditch cloud solutions, that I will lose my data because of my stupidity
I'm having a little awesome day today. Finally got the attachment issue figured out for #vikunja I was having. I thought since I was using #unraid I didn't need to follow the instructions to change ownership of the /files/ directory to 1000... Whoops. Did that and hey, no more permission issue when attaching files!
Also got #zotero setup this morning fully. I had installed it a few weeks ago but finally configured it the way I want and started coming up with some structure.
This has been pretty successful week in my #selfhosting journey. I got #postgresql running early in the week. I then made my own personal database to play with and got databases running for #freshrss, #redmine, #vikunja, and finally #forgejo. Once I was happy with the setup I did pg_dumpall because I know today I'll probably get over confident and break something. First thing I'm going to do this morning is setup another postgresql #docker and make sure I understand how to import pg_dumpall.
For years I've only queried databases. Setting these up and seeing the data behind the applications has been lot of fun! The access to this data makes me highly motivated to use it in my own ways such as populating my personal database with various stats and then learning Python and Flask to build simple tools for myself.
Finally! After days of sleep deprivation and head-banging (not the cool kind), I did it! #Authentik is up on my #k3s cluster, now serving as an #OpenID provider for #Vikunja.
It works like a charm, and soon it’ll manage all my self-hosted services. 'One ring to rule them all...' or some shit. Dunno, still sleep-deprived, but who cares? Sleep can wait—this triumph is my fuel right now. Nothing beats the joy of watching everything finally click together!
So, TickTick, which I love and use religiously to keep track of everything, has started limiting free users to one inserted image a day. Boo. I tried the free MS ToDo app again, but entering text is slow as molasses. I stumbled upon the self-hosted Vikunja which is quite lovely. https://vikunja.io/ #TickTick#ToDo#Vikunja

Matrix via Synapse - Encrypted Chat which should be the replacement of all other chat services due to its flexibility.

You do not own your posts or photos in Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter. You don't own your files or photos in iCloud, Google, Onedrive, or Dropbox. All these companies have to do is close your account for any reason (or no reason) and you've lost it all. Can you imagine losing all of your photos stored on Facebook or Google?
