Nachdem #Yunohost für mich ein Reinfall war versuche ich es mit #Proxmox . Idee. Darüber pihole und Home Assistant laufen zu lassen. Hoffentlich Frist die Konfiguration nicht so viel Zeit.

Bon bah après plus d'un mois je peux dire que Unbound + PiHole + Wireguard (+WGDashboard) ça roule tout seul et aussi bien qu'un serveur XMPP (prosody)

Unbound + PiHole c'est plutôt simple à installer en vrai genre tu suis la doc et zou

L'avantage aussi c'est que pas de port ssh ouvert a l’extérieur, mes services (Jellyfin, Navidrome, même Phanpy ... sont uniquement en local, tout passe dans Wireguard si besoin de l'exterieur.

#Firefox on #iPadOS doesn't allow Ublock Origin, or any Ad-blocking extension. This is #Apple's policy. It's really a trashy-feeling experience, when you know how good the ad-blocking would be in other OS'. It feels ironic, compared to the excruciating efforts Apple puts everywhere else throughout #iPadOS, to make it into slower-moving eye-candy that exceeds its competetion.

I'll probably install #PiHole on a #RaspberryPi, but why should I have to clean up Apple's mess, just to get an experience that other OS' achieve much more easily?

Finally got round to setting this up. My router does not allow changing the DNS server address, but the DHCP server built into Pi-hole saved the day.

I finally took the time to install Pi-hole on the same Raspberry Pi which I use to run a few services.

I'm only testing it from my laptop so far, but after a few hiccups in my docker config it's working fantastically well. Even local news sites* are now actually usable!

I highly recommend this.

Recent internet outage made me realized I need to run an internal NTP server (to at the very least keep the #GlusterFS nodes in sync time-wise)

So I did the obvious thing and added a recursive #DNS resolver to my #DockerSwarm (unbound), and pointed the #PiHole to that for "upstream" resolver, which naturally solves nothing of the stated problem.

I will take no questions.

My #pihole is NOT a fan of some ldap servers....
