God damn Dan Harmon and his deep cuts…

THE CREATURE WASN'T NICE (1983) aka SPACESHIP aka NAKED SPACE starring Leslie Nielsen and Cindy Williams with other Laverne & Shirley castmates. I'd never heard of this until @rigger and I were watching a video about knockoffs inspired by the success of ALIEN.

Anyhow, look at these control stick props from THE CREATURE… and then look at what Troy is sitting in front of in the KFC branded Space Shuttle trainer from COMMUNITY S02E04 "Basic Rocket Science" (2010).

still: from THE CREATURE WASN'T NICE, in sci-fi lab setting a scientist and a technician stand in front of a control panel. Two large control sticks with translucent light up cylinders capped with nobby hand grips.
still: a scene from COMMUNITY; most of the gang is inside an RV that's been gutted and converted into a mock spaceship interior. Troy is seated in front of a control panel; among the "greeblies" used to make it look high tech are the same control sticks from THE CREATURE WASN'T NICE scene.

@kaia the easier the movie the more St. Louis-glasses. We find them everywhere. From Depp's pirates, to DeCaprio's Titanic, Django, 3Musketeers... Jupiter-ascending, Game of Thrones, even Roman emperors (wtf).

Trump has them, the white house had, the palace Elysee...

They are the most luxurious thus industrially produced glasses you can have for 400 bucks ea from stock. And if you break them... 🤷😢💸

So whenever obscene wealth is on display: "Verres De Saint Louis"!

The "Bone Throne" prop from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (2006).

Several props from the movie were on display in the Disney Gallery back when it resided above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland. The gallery has since moved to Main Street USA and now occupies the space that was once a bank.
