2009 I worked in Ghent/Belgium for half a year. Even though the city was nice, all work and little fun can get you pretty down after a while. That's why I was happy when @sandb and @fs111 asked me if I would like to go to Brussels one Tuesday night. I was pretty excited since the destination was the local #hackerspace and I didn't know what to expect. I had a great time and soon became a member of @HSBXL for a few months at least. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the great nights at #HSBXL!

I previously commented at #HSBXL #ByteNight that a hackerspace party is the only one where you can code shaders on the dance floor. This gives rise to th testable prediction that one cannot code shaders on the dancefloor at Fusion Festival.
Shoutouts to the guy who complimented me on the Tanz Wüste lighting setup. I agree, it is very awesome, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
(as I write this it occurs to me that Tanz Wüste is another of those German names that sounds better in the English translation. Dance Desert - alliterative.)

I’ve had a great day at #HSBXL - I only left a few minutes ago, and I intend to be back tomorrow!
Finally made it to #HSBXL, after wandering around the centre of Brussels for an hour and a half trying to find a bus stop!
