@SharonCrockett

Build a printer that paints a single dot, one by one inch maybe, entirely by GPS, with restoring this art as its entire purpose. Attach the printer under many cars. It should only do one dot a pass on rhe street so the painting should never be noticed.

Never noticed.

The BLACK LIVES MATTER should fade in, over a long time.

"Come See About Me" is a 1964 song recorded by #theSupremes for the #Motown label. The track opens with a #fadein, marking one of the first times the technique had been used on a studio recording. The song became third of five consecutively released Supremes songs to top the #Billboard pop singles chart in the United States (the others being "#WhereDidOurLoveGo", "#BabyLove", "#StopInTheNameOfLove" and "#BackInMyArmsAgain"). It topped the chart twice.

☆Fade In review☆

Let me just say this: I love Trelby. But I've outgrown it. If you're getting started with screenwriting, start with Trelby. It hasn't updated in years, but it's FOSS and will teach you the essentials.
Fade In sounded like it was going to do more of what I wanted and it's a fraction of the price of Final Dra... blog.bluestarcreations.net/blu

FADE IN:

INT. REGISTER AREA - DAY

DJ is working a cash register wearing something as close as
possible to his normal shades, but they're glasses with
thick lenses and he looks SUPER dorky. He scans the items
for a stereotypical KAREN.

#FadeIn absolutely needs work for that novel plugin, but once you finesse your existing writing into it, I feel like it's worth it. As manuscripts go, yes, it's easy to mark up, but it's 8½×11" and a real book is going to be like half that, so you really are doing yourself a favor.

It's great to start in, but full of nasty surprises to convert to. That said, I think I might actually put First Fantasy in it just to see how it holds up, because doing it alerted me to a lot of silly mistakes in what I'm working on. Made it obvious where I was rambling and could pare things down.

I was able to finesse an early novel project into #FadeIn, but let me tell you, going from LibreOffice to Fade In with the novel plugin takes some doing. First saved it as .RTF, had to go back and fix all the fancy quotes, then used RTF2BBCode, then massaged that manually into Fountain format in Notepad++ and cleaned up a mess that LibreOffice left in the formatting, then Fountain didn't even import properly, so more cleaning. There was cleanup at every step. And even after that all the ellipses got lost, so I had to manually find them as a control character in Notepad++ and replace them with triple periods and from there is was just easier to manually add them.

Being honest, what I actually write in looks quite a bit more like Fountain format. That said... Last night I kind of just hated how it looked in novel format, couldn't read it properly, and felt it was too much like a paper to be marked up, but I came around to it this morning. I feel like the limits will make my writing better.

So.

#Trelby has been great, but it has some limitations and it's just a little fiddly and it hasn't been updated literally since I found it. It has GitHub bugs from 2023 untouched. For free, it's great. There were just more things I wanted to do.

#FadeIn is immediately robust, supposedly lets you copy the look and feel of multiple other software suites including Trelby (I didn't actually notice much difference between "Trelby" and "default"), and while it doesn't directly import Trelby files, you can use multiple types as an intermediate. It's hassleware, but I liked the demo so much I used the hassle to buy, and registration is a breeze. If I had to compare it to anything, it would be WordPad, which is perfect for me. Minimal distraction; quick access to the basics. It's $80 on sale right now.

It topped the chart twice, non-consecutively.
