Used to be a group called women leading in AI pre-covid times very active in lobbying on this topic - up at Wesrminster etc. I wonder if any peeps have come here as birdsite all quiet. Old address was @wlinAI Mainly legal people with a few tech peeps and academics. Even back then it was shocking to understand that opaque algorithms were used to estimate sentences and on benefits decisions. Also there was no quality oversight on the maintenance of algorithms or who got the contracts.. #WorkTodo
