At our April meeting (Sunday 6th, ONLINE via Zoom), Dr Nicholas Brown will give a talk on "The Valley of the Kings: Its Life and Afterlife".
The Valley of the Kings is arguably one of the most famous archaeological sites in Egypt. For nearly five hundred years, the area was used by the kings of Egypt, their family members, and certain elite courtiers as a sacred necropolis during the New Kingdom (ca. 1550-1069 BC) (1/3)

A joint Egyptian-UK archaeological team has discovered the tomb of King Thutmose II in the Valley of the Kings, the first royal tomb found since King Tutankhamun's in 1922. This significant finding promises to enhance our understanding of ancient Egyptian culture and burial practices, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

Finally played #StarRealms in person (contrasted with digitally) this weekend. I had high hopes for it, since our most-played game is another deck-builder (#ValleyOfTheKings). But, I think Valley spoiled us. Star Realms may be simpler to set up and put away, but it can be brutally difficult to dig out of some bad luck at the beginning of the game, and the defending player is just a passive object, while Valley allows some active defense.
