The suspense is built up slowly and thrives on the chamber play-like atmosphere of "Trapped in Nowhere". The young women Hanna and Liv are traveling through Australia and are out partying. To earn money, they take a job from an agency and travel to the outback to the "Royal Hotel". There they work at the bar, but discover that the hotel isn't all that royal. After The Assistant, Kitty Green once again works with Julia Garner, whose performance in "Ozark" and "Inventing Anna"

#TheRoyalHotel was absolutely superb; tightly directed & anchored not just by two stellar central leads, but also by the repulsive, incredibly well performed cast of supporting characters. My favourite note was the lack of the need to turn things up to 11 for the finale; the carefully modulated threat & menace were enough. I Cannot Wait to watch the director's previous, The Assistant, which I've got taped.
