I loved The Idea of You. I’ll write a mini review on Sunday when my brain is working again. But my rating is 9/10.
So it’ll be on my favourite films of the year list in December 
After watching Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada this afternoon, I’m now watching her in The Idea of You (2024) on Amazon Prime. The film is included in Prime Video membership in the UK. And probably everywhere given it’s an MGM release and Amazon owns MGM.
If you can be generous this weekend towards #DeadpoolAndWolverine, I would also favor the other side of the optimist conversation by pointing out that the #AnneHathaway romance film #TheIdeaOfYou is equally worthy of that generosity. Much of the romance genre in our age is cheaply produced, cheaply marketed, and cheaply consumed without consideration for the work involved, particularly in comparison to the more masculine fare of #Marvel.
