"Detroit City" is a song written by #DannyDill and #MelTillis, made famous by #BillyGrammer (as "I Wanna Go Home"), #countryMusic singer #BobbyBare and #TomJones. Bare's version was released in 1963. The song — sometimes known as "I Wanna Go Home" (from the opening line to the refrain) — was Bare's first Top 10 hit on the #Billboard #HotCountrySingles chart that summer, and became a country music standard.

"The Gambler" is a song written by #DonSchlitz and recorded by several artists, most famously by American #country singer #KennyRogers. Schlitz wrote the song in August 1976 when he was 23 years old. It took two years of shopping the song around Nashville before #BobbyBare recorded it on his album Bare at the urging of #ShelSilverstein. Bare's version did not catch on and was never released as a single, so Schlitz recorded it himself.

"Green, Green Grass of Home", written by #ClaudeCurlyPutmanJr, and first recorded by singer #JohnnyDarrell in 1965, is a country song made popular by #PorterWagoner the same year, when it reached No. 4 on the Country chart. It was also recorded by #BobbyBare and by #JerryLeeLewis, who included it in his album #CountrySongsForCityFolks (later re-issued as All Country). #TomJones learned the song from Lewis' version and, in 1966, he had a worldwide No. 1 hit with it.

Evidently when "The All American Boy" was playing in 1958 and (mostly) 1959, I was listening the other way. I gave this a try at Bandcamp and bought it; but for some reason, evidently it is no longer available there. Too bad but we still have YouTube. This track is really quite good.
