Carl Johnson<p>Muddy Waters – “Unk” in Funk </p><p>In 1974, for his final album of new material on Chess Records (after nearly 30 years!), Muddy Waters wanted us to know that it was indeed he who had put the "unk" in funk. Bold claim? Maybe. What it means, I have no clue.
