I went and saw this not knowing and didn't notice anything weird at all. I did think it was weird that the movie was in English, but I guess I assumed it was made with an international release in mind. Immersive dubbing does sound way way better than AI mouth replacement.

Sinners was really excellent! I also saw the first M3gan movie as part of AMC's Halfway to Halloween event and it was pretty funny. I'm looking forward to the sequel even more, after thinking the trailer was pretty good.
I also ran into a college friend who was seeing Revenge of the Sith, which I still think isn't very good. It's not Clone Wars bad, but that's easily the worst mainline Star Wars just behind Rise of Skywalker.

I saw The Wedding Banquet and The Legend of Ochii yesterday afternoon. I liked both, but I think The Wedding Banquet was better. Something about the tone of The Legend of Ochii felt off to me. Almost like Isiah Saxon was trying to evoke a Wes Anderson feel then abandoned that at the last moment. Great performances in both movies.
Tonight I'm going to see Until Dawn. I really like David F Sandberg and his ponysmasher videos on YouTube, so I hope it's good!
I texted my brother that it was too cold in this movie theater and his response was, "Keeping the cinema fresh?" And yes it does seem to be fridge temp in here! Why do they do this?.
Just saw Sacramento, it was cute and funny, and I'm sitting here waiting for Warfare. Heard it was pretty brutal and more of a horror movie than a typical war movie. I like Alex Garland, so I'm hopeful. I usually try to see rated R stuff.
Just saw The Woman In The Yard and am now sitting in the theater waiting for Death Of A Unicorn to start. Hopefully this one will be better than the last which I get what it was going for, but I found it to be a touch boring and approached its subject matter only on the surface level. I'm no stranger to grief, but this just didn't connect with me at all.

Saw Soderbergh's The Presence just now. I didn't realize until I pulled up the ticket for my second movie of the day that it's in the same theater! Kind of a fun coincidence. I'm seeing Love Me next.
The Presence was shot well and was an interesting take on the haunted house story. I don't think it's a must see, but it was well crafted.
Got all three movies this week! Saw September 5 on Tuesday with a buddy.

I really wanted to like Furiosa, but it was too long and George Miller made the baffling choice of over cranking most of the movie by just enough to keep me constantly annoyed. It's not like I was going to take the movie that seriously anyway, but making it all look like a silent film era comedy didn't help me at all!

Fall Guy is super fun! Ryan Gosling is as charming and funny as he ever is and Emily Blunt is terrific! All the performances are really fun. The movie really worked for me
It get why, but hearing Kate Bush playing in mall after leaving a movie that I think was set in the 80s seemed so appropriate and also cliche.
The movie was touching and thoughtful and a little silly. I enjoyed my time amongst the bigfoot.
