The Chief Justice speaks out to protect democracy, at least as far as his own institution is concerned. Hopefully this signals an intent to stand for more. In the face of silence from the GOP, he has chosen to take this remarkable step of warning the president to back off.
3/ Roberts: "For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose."
@GottaLaff I hope he has seen the absolute tantrum meltdown posted on TS by #POTUS earlier. It’s way past the concept of impeaching anyone in the judiciary. Racism, Slander, Libel, and threats. Maybe, just maybe #SCOTUS is beginning to understand what a monster they have unleashed; and they better get a hold of it PDQ, or the USA will be #Gilead
