Apparently I love reading books about technology companies lol.
I'm still reading Extremely Hardcore: Inside Elon Musk's Twitter by Zoë Schiffer and I just started reading Move Fast and Break Things: How Facebook, Google, and Amazon Cornered Culture and Undermined Democracy by Jonathan Taplin.
So yeah...I sense a theme here.
@noellemitchell Also worth reading Algorithms of Oppression by Dr Safiya Noble, and long but excellent Surveillance Captialism by Shoshanna Zuboff, and anything by Cory Doctorow - maybe Chokepoint Capitalism (co-authored with Rebecca Giblin)

@Kay I started reading Chokepoint Capitalism but haven't finished it yet, that one is a really good book too. I think I've heard of the other two books but I'll have to look them up to make sure.
@noellemitchell I've been reading Surveillance Capitalism for more than a year. It's long so I read a bit on my phone every so often. Fiction books I can polish off in a day, nonfiction takes longer. Sometimes I cheat and read a fiction book by an expert who uses their knowledge in their books. Cory Doctorow does good fiction too.
@Kay @noellemitchell Cory Doctorow is the best. Also read Your Face Belongs to Us by Kashmir Hill.
@noellemitchell I need to read Move Fast and Break Things.
Internet For The People is good too!
@noellemitchell I really liked Fire in the Valley.
