@chrisnelsonsdog Suddenly missing my parents old house. The hepatica are protected in Sweden, and we had a few places along the path between that house and my aunt & uncle's that in spring got lots of these beautiful blue flowers
@melindrea we have them in several colors here, white, pink, purple, and blue, at a minimum. Only in certain areas though. They seem to like limestone.
@chrisnelsonsdog The white variation is everywhere here too, which is why they aren't protected like the blue ones =)
@melindrea do you know a way to tell them apart when not in bloom?
@chrisnelsonsdog Beautiful! What is this?
@mtorpey hepatica, its in the alt
@chrisnelsonsdog Hepatica is the first floral sign of spring. :)
@CStamp around here, the snow trillium are usually first
@chrisnelsonsdog Nice. White trilliums will be not too far behind here, but I don't think we have those ones. Here, hepatica is closely followed by trout lilies.
@CStamp the trout lilies are a couple weeks away for me. There are both yellow and white ones here, and golden stars not far away. What colors do you have?
@chrisnelsonsdog Yellow trout lilies, though we do have some sneaky red trilliums amidst our white ones. :)
