Microsoft is so busy upselling the enterprise to #Fabric that a big part of the #PowerBI customer base seems to get left behind. Including any hopes for Power Apps integration to improve. https://www.perspectives.plus/p/a-twist-in-the-fabric
It's all about allowing users to experience the transformative power of SaaS products firshand. #PowerBI #MicrosoftFabric
@jukkan I'm not a huge fan of some of Sam's rants. He expresses real and valid concerns and then makes unrealistic solutions like completely detaching Power BI or focusing on Power BI copilot.
My opinions: https://www.sqlgene.com/2025/01/16/should-power-bi-be-detached-from-fabric/
@jukkan The only other quibble is the $8k price is slightly misleading since you can reserve an f64 for $5k per month. You'd never run an f64 at full paygo rate like that.
@Sqlgene Great post!
Yes, I've only recently started to follow Sam and a lot of the posts don't resonate that much. It's just that being an "outsider" to Fabric, due to my low-code app focus, I haven't come across too many similar takes that address the complexity challenge so directly.
