It's been a few decades since I lived in Cambridge, Mass., and it's way more upscale. But I see some of the old rules still apply: lock your bike wheels, not just your bike frame.

A black bike frame has its seat and bike racks still attached, but its wheels are gone. It's locked to a thick steel bike rack on a brick sidewalk.

@stshank Funny story: My daughter had her bike wheels stolen in Madison, WI. Two days later, she found a set discarded on a bike rack a few blocks away that she was sure were hers. So she took them and they probably were.
