Is it me or has autocorrect on iPhone become completely unreliable?

I’ll type entire sentences and words will flip and phrases split into nonsensical words

OTOH I can type something 2 or 3 keys off and it’ll figure it out - like typing offset by multiple keys, with misspellings can be fine
