As a reminder, the crackdown on protest has been happening - and getting more aggressive - for a long time.
Many examples of free speech being criminalised in this thread. (That's peaceful protest, not property damage).
@CelloMomOnCars Naomi Wolf went off the deep end, of course, but I do remember her saying years ago that needing "permits" for protesting was a sign of bad things to come, and she was right about that for sure.
