One newcomer in #kdrama in my real life is really into it, also watching Tangerines.
I mentioned Reply 1988 to her, without too much explanation that might spoil it.
Not doing that here either, just in case.

I have been just trying to catch up with life etc that I have not even half of #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines but I I am finding it a really pleasurable experience.

按放送周期追完一本满足。回顾整部剧，我印象最深的两处都是关于爱纯的：一次是春篇中年爱纯首次登场、看望初入职场的金明，两人因为工作和潜在的婚姻之间的矛盾发生了小小的口角，作为妈妈的爱纯带着笑意说：我希望你能认可我的人生也是有价值的。另一次是东篇、金明因无法管教年幼女儿向妈妈求助，爱纯一如既往地安抚孙女、打点家里，两人再次就鸡毛蒜皮的事说道了两句，爱纯还是带着笑意说：请不要带着同情的目光看着我。
单凭这两场戏，这部剧就永远可以排在任何家庭剧类目的必看列表上。

In Tangerines, there is so much I can relate to from my own history. Meeting people from youth by coincidence years later. Their lives running complete other courses than expected. Better or not at all.
The loudest as child becoming gentle, etc.

It is universal like Reply1988. Also: How a complete family can be lifted up by just the one on the right place at the right time. Parents, but also kindreds around , just having that ¨click¨.

I think Jeju is Kdrama' s Top-location for many Kdramas playing in ancient times and modern times, and all periods in between.

I am convinced #whenlifegivesyoutangerines is awesome but mother-daughter themed dramas are a challenge for me… I saw a clip today that instantly reminded me of my mother who passed in 2019, I don’t think I’m ready to relive the loss in a #kdrama just yet

( edit) Last night I stopped watching the #kdrama #whenlifegivesyoutangerines and we sort of started watching #adolescence without knowing how long it went on for. So it's only 4 episodes & we finished tonight, although I missed some bits.

Like #BabyReindeer it has inspired thoughts, but not been a relaxing escapism watch.

Also had a tough week with my return to #soapopera #Eastenders and maybe it was a week to read a book instead?
