The NATIONAL Basketball Association #NBA is a NATIONAL league, not a global league, having international players doesn’t transform it into a WORLD basketball league. The #football #soccer analogy gives clarity to any logical unbiased point of view. But I get nationalistic superiority fervor about a sport some must cling. It’s very American #Lyles is spot on and the WORLD of sports agrees with him.

@Yaz_dot_K technically, like college sports, any USA sport champion is a NATIONAL champion. The title of WORLD is a misnomer, period. In global football (soccer) each national league champion (eg Premier League ENG) isn’t a World champion. They’ve the BEST players in the world. Only at the #WorldCup is the WORLD Champion of football decided. Just like #americanexceptionalism USA hypes everything #misnomer #Lyles timing is irrelevant. Most of the world of sports agrees with him.
