One thing I never tire of watching is an EM pinball machine resetting the score displays at the start of a new game. As a kid it puzzled me so bad how it worked, later in life I got to take a deep dive in the soul of electro-mechanical things. Even when I know exactly what's going on, it's still captivating to look at. #pinball #70s #retrotech #electromechanical

My preference for phone kit is “massive, heavy, and maintained with a spanner”

1970's Diichi New Vanguard pachinko machine from my collection. I love how it has that tiny ashtray with a dump hinge. If you look closely you can see a couple small cigarette burns in the plastic.

Thought I’d give the #strowger #telephoneExchange bit of a workout this evening.
I’ll be running it in a lot over the next couple of months to give any faults time to show themselves before #emfcamp
Tonight though, I ran 100 calls through it (25 per selector) and had 0 failures!
That’s not bad considering I haven’t run it over the winter!
