The loose unit this time is Erica Stanford who sent pre-Budget announcements to her Gmail account, prior to them being made public last year.

Naturally Christopher Luxon maintains he's "very relaxed" about the situation, but he says that every time one of his Ministers gets caught lying or breaking the rules.

excerpt from an article discussing a stanford university study regarding plant-based diets & the climate crisis reads: 'The worldwide phase out of animal agriculture, combined with a global switch to a plant-based diet, would effectively halt the increase of atmospheric greenhouse gases for 30 years and give humanity more time to end its reliance on fossil fuels, according to a new study by scientists from Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley. “We wanted to answer a very simple question: What would be the impact of a global phase-out of animal agriculture on atmospheric greenhouse gases and their global-heating impact?” said Patrick Brown, a professor emeritus in the department of biochemistry at Stanford University. Brown co-authored the paper with Michael Eisen, a professor of genetics and development at UC Berkeley. Based on the model, published in the open-access journal PLoS Climate, phasing out animal agriculture over the next 15 years would have the same effect as a 68 percent reduction of carbon dioxide emissions through the year 2100. They note that Harvard's objections are rooted in a tradition of liberty, that America's universities are important, and that constructive change cannot come by destroying the nation's capacity for scientific research or the government taking control of private institutions. We urge them to go further, however: to issue a statement of their own on behalf of Stanford condemning the government's actions and vowing to stand in solidarity with Harvard and other universities to defend American higher education. **To sign this letter, scroll to the very bottom of the form and submit your signature April 14th, 2025 Dear President Levin, Alan Garber's letter this morning has been a beacon of hope for many of us on campus. While addressed to Members of the Harvard Community, the letter generously invokes all private universities. It expresses what America’s great universities mean to the country and to the world, as bastions of free thought and inquiry that transform the lives of people everywhere. President Garber states a fundamental principle of academic freedom: no government should dictate what we teach, who we admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry we pursue.
