Binary 5.3 has just been released as a small update. It comes with many translation updates and a few small updates.

Development hasn't been too active lately due to uni work and personal issues. I'm hoping to work on it a lot more over the summer and hopefully past that. In the mean time, get it now on flathub: flathub.org/apps/io.github.fiz

I've been accepted as a speaker at @LAS to talk about GNOME Circle. I was excited to travel to Albania and have my talk there but the Linux App Summit hasn't been answering any of my emails! Since I'm from Iran, I really need an Invitation Letter to be able to get my visa (e-visa) since Albania does not give visas to Iranians so easily, and it needs lots of paperwork (and also no embassy in Iran). I emailed LAS on 11th March...

The Authenticator app (apps.gnome.org/Authenticator) is super convenient to have when signing into various GNOME web services using GNOME's SSO service. Unfortunately, it's not that straightforward to set up additional 2FA apps for GNOME SSO due to subpar UX on Keycloak's side.

Because of that, I've written a section in the GNOME Project Handbook explaining how to do it: handbook.gnome.org/infrastruct.

One of the features I'm most excited about in the upcoming release of Graphs is the proper handling of equations with an infinite canvas.

Equations can be changed, and operations on equations will change the equation itself accordingly instead of just adjusting the data. We also still support generated data from an equation.

This, and much more to come later with our next major release :)

We just released version 1.8.4 of Graphs.

- Upgraded to the GNOME 47 runtime, giving us proper accent colour support.
- Improved rubber band selection, which now has rounded corners for instance.
- Fixed some issues with equation parsing with nested parentheses.

You can get it on Flathub. Meanwhile we’re working hard on the next major release, which includes proper equation support with an infinite canvas, a new style editor and much more.

Churned out yet another mega issue for tracking GNOME Circle apps that are still on the GNOME 46 runtime, as it’s on track to reach end-of-life about one month after the release of GNOME 48. All affected maintainers have also been notified about this either in the GNOME Circle room on Matrix or directly in their apps' repositories.

📢 A new update for Exercise Timer was released today! With a number of visual improvements that I hope to pave the road for GNOME Circle adoption.

Additionally, translations for Tamil, Portuguese and Estonian has been added by the members of the community.

The new version is available on Flathub!

I just released a new version of #Hieroglyphic, this version replaces the classification algorithm with a machine learning model trained on the data previously used to classify symbols, improving classification speed and overall accuracy (although some symbols are now classified less accurately due to lack of good training data).
To improve the training data, it is now also possible to submit recognized symbols (this is opt-in).
