What are the next steps to enhance democracy?
During our #CivSocWeek in March, EU civil society advocated for:
resilient democracies, where disinformation is fought through education; a civic space and structured civil dialogue; participatory platforms, instruments, and initiatives for citizens to engage actively; youth engagement and space for young people to have a say; a fair and inclusive digital transition; an economy that works for people.

Time flies! A month ago, we hosted the first-ever #CivSocWeek, bringing together civil society across the EU.
During 4 days, participants sent clear messages to the next EU leaders: 
more democracy and youth; 
less fake news; 
an economy that works for all.
Our resolution in July will outline civil society's expectations from the incoming leadership of the European Parliament and the European Commission.

Pour valoriser les #ICE initiatives citoyennes européennes, une "Semaine de la société civile" est organisée en mars 2024 par "l'Europe" et le #CESE. #CivSocWeek. C'est chouette, mais quand les gouvernements font tout le contraire d'une démarche démocratique et citoyenne, notamment en France, est-ce que ça sert à quelque chose ? Ce ne sont pas les citoyens qu'il faut mobiliser, mais plutôt les ministres et notre Président !
