I overheard a conversation here between @ComicBookProgressive and someone else who said that these #BigGeorge comics were otherworldly, like the effort of an alien who didn't quite understand humor but put their whole heart into it just the same.

That's when I learned that the strip was the final project of a master gag cartoonist, begun when he was nearly 70, and which kept running for years after his death—because he made so many, so quickly. And now I think I love it.
