This is absolutely wretched. Ben and Jerry’s parent company Unilever, who bought the famed ice cream company in 2000, kept #BenandJerry involved.

There is a longtime social #mission established when B&J was founded. And yes, it’s extremely liberal. But during the recent months of #ICE kidnappings in #Vermont, the pair wrote about Gaza. They were quickly censored by the mega-corp. VT relies on #migrantworkers year round for harvests and farms.

Fuck Trump.

'Unilever, the parent company of this ice cream brand since the 2000s, revealed that it fired Stever without even consulting the board that oversees the brand. The one and only, and paradoxical, reason: his commitment to the company’s social mission.

Apparently, Unilever had repeatedly criticized Stever for 'continually engaging' in Ben & Jerry’s social initiatives, such as celebrating Black History Month.

The radicalization of society has unfortunately reached every level, and Stever has faced significant censorship for expressing support for Palestine or even celebrating the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a legal resident and activist for Palestine at Columbia University. Stever has even reported being told not to criticize Donald Trump publicly."

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (aka Ben and Jerry) are reportedly in talks to buy back their namesake ice cream brand from Unilever. Two weeks ago the founders complained that their brand's parent company was silencing them on Trump. @quartz reports that Cohen and Greenfield "may seek to partner with investors who share their social values if any transaction is made, although details remain confidential." Unilever, however, told Bloomberg that the ice cream unit is “not for sale." Ben & Jerry's was founded in 1978 and known for its advocacy for racial equality, climate change action and LGBTQ rights. It was purchased by Unilever in 2000.

#BenandJerry issued a 4th of July call to give 'mount rushmore' back to the owners. I'll bet EVEN MONEY the demand made of B and J is by some US MILITARY EQUIPMENT BUILDING "FORT INDIANS", living on the Pentagon DOLE and needing to stick tight with Israeli interests.
