@billseitz This is a report based on research by the Government Accountability Office that compiled these facts across states, but it dates back to 2020. The situation, in any case, has probably worsened since then.

biggest state-case I saw was Georgia...
with 4k employees on food stamps;
Georgia has ~130k people on food stamps;
Walmart has 60k employees in Georgia;
Georgia follows the federal minimum wage of $7.25;

That's horrific. Didn't you find anything that stands out in Louisiana or Alabama?
Ah, I see... no data for the formerly slavery-inclined states. Should I be surprised?
