<false_indignation>What, not vi? </false_indignation>
Good reminder that I need to work on my neocities page . . .
@StefanEJones @getimiskon @pluralistic Haha there's a limit huh!
The only vi I know is :quit or :q
@stux @getimiskon @pluralistic That's more than I know of emacs . . .
@stux @getimiskon @pluralistic just one question: Why?
@jamalmarlone @getimiskon @pluralistic therapeutic
@stux@mstdn.social@getimiskon@fedi.getimiskon.xyz @pluralistic <blink>
@getimiskon @pluralistic @stux If you’re not doing “cat > filename,” you lack commitment.
@stux @pluralistic thanks to @kde my text editor's save function used to work directly over FTP, for the absolute minimum possible testing
@trantion @pluralistic @stux @kde I just ssh into the production host and vi the live html files.
@stux @pluralistic Also old school FTP user here. If I need to post changes to my website or personal file storage I just use an FTP client on my phone. Containerization has a place… it’s just not on a mostly static website that can be with just text.
