In preparing for a paper I’m giving next week (‘The of the Mangel Wurzel’ if you insist on asking!) I found this amazing of Carters’ Root Stand at the 1876 Smithfield Show. Mangel Wurzels galore! Just look at the tonnages (82 and 97) produced per acre. Achieved by growing them in , of course.
