The fire is over 7000 acres with 1% containment. The county commissioners voted yesterday to ban all open fires in unincorporated areas of #LarimerCounty, including smoking. Because yes, smokers seem to have a habit of just flicking their butts away when they’re done with a cig, like the world is their ashtray. #petPeeve
@qurlyjoe Ever notice how a lot of fires’ start points are right next to a road or trail? Including the hugely-destructive Marshall Fire in 2021? Not a coincidence.
