@ppatel This is going to cause a shift in the market when people cancel their subscriptions because of the higher prices. Cheaper services will be preferable and they'll make a killing.
@gocu54 Note that they're not changing the ad tears. They're counting on the fact that the cheaper prices there will make the premium tears more palitable.
@ppatel Now that's a good stratigy. Exclusivity does seem to be something that works. Making scarcity in the market makes those who can afford it clammer to get the highest level product possible. Clever.
@gocu54 Conversely, they get much more out of the ads. Making the ad tear more palatable by increasing prices on the premium tear also makes more people choose the lower tear.
@ppatel True. A majority of users will get the lower version but for those who want to pay, they'll be able to afford it, making for an entirely different market of rich people.
