Wants: Poem
I want to know what's happening
I want to help shape what's happening in a positive way
I want to play with threads and yarn and cloth in all the ways
I want to learn how everyday folk in all times and places lived their daily lives
I want to tell tales of magic folk and far away fantastic places
I want to read all the great stories
I want to know how we got here across the deep depths of time
I want to know how everything works
I want to grow roses
Too much to ask?

Nice poem! Made me immediately think of some other wants as articulated by #LucindaWillliams
"Is it too much to ask?
I want a comfortable bed that won't hurt my back
Food to fill me up
And warm clothes and all that stuff
Is it much to demand?
I want a full house and a rock and roll band
Pens that won't run out of ink
And cool quiet and time to think"
- Lucinda Williams
I suppose I could've chosen Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue by the Ramones but I really don't want that. ;-)
@blankfrank LOL. I hear ya on that one. I like her poem...I know those wants, too...

Most all of humanity desires the same.
But cannot express it so eloquently.
