I think Trump went to try and create some "news" for the "news cycle" that he feeds by being an asshole, to create press about people "upset" with Trump.
But all he got was professional Journalists being journalists.
So they pulled him because he wasn't upsetting people, he was just being weird.
. . . he was just being weird.
