Microsoft sent me an email telling me to throw my computer in the trash. 🤷

What does this mean for me? After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10. What can I do with my old computer? Trade it in or recycle it with local organizations.

What Microsoft is actually telling you, Anatoly, is to throw Windows OS in the trash and switch to something practical, like Linux.
Your hardware will continue to be usable, but you'll be free of Redmond's shackles.
