The Nokia N95 shipped several months before the Apple iPhone.

The N95 had an accelerometer which would have allowed the screen to rotate when you flipped it on its side. But Nokia never enabled that feature!

It took a 3rd party developer to bring the N95 to feature parity with the iPhone.

@Edent I had the N95 8GB that came with t.v. cables and Spiderman 3 pre installed.
I also remember when they released a very underwhelming app store for it.
Not hard to see now, in hindsight, how it never stood a change against the iPhone
