This is nice and all, but let's not start thinking that billionaires should exist just because a few of them do charity and philanthropy. The existence of billionaires and millionaires, that is, the existence of a small group of people who own vast amounts of wealth, is the cause of wealth disparity and inequality, which in turn spawns poverty for the rest of us. Yes, this billionaire is charitable, but he also shouldn't be a billionaire. No one should.
@Radical_EgoCom money shouldn't even exist. Think of all the harm this imaginary idea (money) causes. Money isn't even real. We made it up.
Just take a step back and realize the insanity of not providing medical care until someone who already has a mass of imaginary wealth gets some more of it. Or letting human beings starve because we wont give them food since they don't “have” enough of this fabricated idea.
Wouldn't need billionaire charity if they haven't hoarded the wealth away from the people in the first place. We're not getting Batman or Tony Stark but we've created about 100 Lex Luthors

charity was invented in the Middle Ages by noble feudal lords and clergy, who at that time were looking for a way for farmers who worked their land not to die of hunger so as not to reduce the population of slave labor.
