I am back in the ranks of the BMW convertible people!

I dearly loved my 2021 VW GTI, and evidently so did a lot of others because after almost 4 years it was still worth a lot. I sold it to a dealer, bought this 2013 E88 128i convertible, and put money into savings.

Also pictured, the 1990 E30 convertible I loved and cherished for 13 years (with the GTI right behind it), and the 2004 E46 convertible I owned when we lived in Florida.


My new daily driver is this Alpine White 2013 BMW 128i convertible, with a black fabric top and tan interior. The car is stubby, with an endearing but hardly swoopy profile. The wheels are cast alloy with 5 spokes
The camera looks back from curbside at two cars parked one in front of the other. Closest is my 1990 BMW 325i convertible, the famous E30 series, and to my eye, one of the prettiest BMWs ever made. The car is Alpine White II, a slightly creamy nonmetallic white. The fabric top is dark blue, with a dark blue vinyl interior in a shade BMW called Indigo. I bought this car all raggedy from an E-Bay seller in Boston in 2008, restored it, and kept it until late 2021, when it went back to Florida to an individual in the Orlando area. Behind the E30 is my 2021 VW GTI Autobahn, one of my favorite cars ever! The GTI is a very pale bluish grey, called Ice White by VW.
My 2004 BMW 330ic convertible is parked with the top down in our driveway in Fort Lauderdale Florida before we moved to California. Along with my E30, this generation of BMW 3-series cars (E46) is just about the pinnacle of classic BMW design. It is restrained and elegant, agile-looking and not too big. It is a deep blue called Orient Blue by BMW. The interior is light grey leather. The Florida vanity license plate is "WOOFGNG."

@donaldham Awesome! Your 2004 330 and mine look quite a lot alike--my daughter drives in now. I've moved to a 2016 M235i convertible. I love these cars!
