“The study found that, compared to meat-heavy diets, vegan diets resulted in 75 percent less land use, 54 percent less water use, and 66 percent less biodiversity loss.” https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/21/climate/diet-vegan-meat-emissions.html
@charliearchy i've been vegetarian for over 30 years & one thing has really stuck with me -- people are obsessive about their meat. it's kind of crazy. everyone LOVES to rag on the militant vegan, but i've gotten more flack from 'bacon lovers' than anyone else.. as tho life without bacon isnt worth living.
i also know folks who are very weird about loving animals. like, it's over the top. yet they still eat meat.
i dont know which would shock me more - ppl getting out of their cars or off meat
