Mother on the Alaska Airlines flight who held onto her teenage son to keep him from being sucked out of the hole after his shirt and phone:
@_L1vY_ this capitalist bullshit almost killed people right here in our PNW turf. Fuck Boeing.
No doubt using the tried and true 'arm across the torso' technique perfected over years of abrupt stops at 4 way stops.
@_L1vY_ That’s terrifying.
@_L1vY_ the more i read about this incident, the angrier i get. i hope they sue the fuck out of Boeing and Alaska Airlines.
@_L1vY_
Mom's a lawyer. Glib spin from Alaska Airlines. If she's not a trial lawyer, I bet she knows some good ones.
@_L1vY_ so, at the end, informations are
- some planes have security issues intentionally locked
- you can be seated in a plane with a hole without knowing (and maybe even the crew does not know “I remember thinking she didn’t know there was a hole in this plane” )
- keeping seat belts all time in flight is definitively a safe practice
@_L1vY_
And of course it was corner cutting to cram more people inside the plane:

If there's any justice in this capitalist hellscape this will result in Boeing losing lots of money, but i won't hold my breath
@_L1vY_ Thank you for sharing this story. It is truly terrifying. Profit over safety; Profit over people; and Profit over patients all eventually lead to harm, if not death.
