@Zammer the first batch of documents was found before the midterms by Biden’s people. Typically, they kept the story quiet until after the election was finalized.

What’s weird to me is the slow drip on new classified documents that seems to be getting discovered.

@becka Oh, I thought it was December that they found them. I just wonder what they were looking for in the first place and how this could get overlooked for so long. Does every former VP/Pres have some amount of classified docs on them just due to the large amount of paperwork that's required? It's all very weird to me. And also kind of seems like a fishing attempt so they can go through all his shit in an attempt to find something they can run with.

@Zammer I’d be hesitant to describe it as a “fishing expedition” if his own lawyers are the ones finding these documents. The fact that some documents could sometimes be unintentionally missplaced by him or his staff at the time doesn’t seem that surprising but it’s still a problem.

I don’t it’s too hard to believe that anyone else would be reprimanded, fired and possibly prosecuted for such negligence. That being said, Trump’s infractions still seem much more serious and arrogant.
