Sometimes church ceilings are quite astonishing, aren't they? I came across this one last week - in a country church in Cornwall.
@RickGaehl Do tell where.
@NellytheWillow
It's in a place called Feock (but don't ask me how you pronounce it ).
@RickGaehl Ah, thank you! I'm down in Falmouth next month and will be glad to visit a church nearby.
@NellytheWillow
It's between Famouth and Truro - not far from Trelissick Gardens, which are also worth a visit.
@RickGaehl Yes, I know that area a bit but never been to Feock church.
@NellytheWillow
If you don't know it, it's also worth stopping off to look at the Friends Meeting House in Come-to-Good.
@RickGaehl It's on my (quite long) list...
@RoyReed Thanks Roy! Next month for sure.
@RickGaehl Gorgeous!
It reminds me of old stencil painting, as used in the past for walls or crockery.
Oh, and these chalices between the grapes!
@RickGaehl I love old church roofs. There's often no ceiling- but Aberdeen St Machar's has an incredible ceiling
@Peternimmo
I did hestitate whether to call this one a roof or a ceiling, but the decoration made me plump for ceiling.
@RickGaehl
That is amazing.
