@RickGaehl Wow — I wonder what the story of this lovely place is…do you know? It looks so solidly built and serenely set, it’s hard to imagine it was ever abandoned. But I love how nature is reclaiming it.

Ah, it's all a curated landscape, I'm afraid. Nature will never recaim it while the National Trust is in charge. It was originally abandoned and partly demolished to be part of a 'picturesque' landscape in the 1830s.
