@PamelaBarroway I doubt Vance is aware that there are more Asian countries than China.
He's a racist. Anything from north-west Asia is "Chinese"; everything from south-west Asia is "Indian"; everything south of the US border is "Mexican".
In his mind, it's not worth further distinction because they're not white... so they're just "bad" and further categorization isn't needed.
