@ManyRoads just a little correction, it was first introduced by fascist, pushed by Gabriele d'Annunzio, and later adopted by nazist, so it is fair to call it the fascist salute.
You may also heard about it referred as "Roman salute", but there are no proof it was actually used, probably one (of the many) historical lies popularized by d'Annunzio
